Can You Use Joycons On Switch Lite

The “Joy-Cons” of the Nintendo Switch do not have a USB port to recharge the integrated battery. This works in both TV and handheld mode. In handheld mode, however, the Joy-Cons are only charged when they reach a low battery level. In this case, however, they are only charged up to a maximum of half to conserve the console’s battery. In TV mode, the console and Joy-Cons are charged simultaneously when the dock is connected via the included Nintendo Switch power adapter. If your Joy-Cons are completely discharged, a full charge in the dock will take just over 3 hours. There is no way to connect and charge separately purchased Joy-Cons on the Switch Lite. In this case, you’ll have to resort to one of the other methods described here.

Although a Joy-Con holder is included in the scope of delivery of the normal Switch and the OLED model, it does not have a charging function. However, since this isn’t possible with the Lite, you’d have to buy a charging station for 20€-30€ on top of that. You would have to spend about 90€ in the end. I would then rather advise you to sell the Switch lite and go directly to the normal Switch, there you have more of. How do I know this:Hobby – enjoys playing games on the Switch.
